The project aims to challenge the expectations of modern construction materials by putting them to the test of fire. The act of burning becomes an extension of the work by searing away the traces of mechanically carved tooling paths to reveal the qualities of the composite wood material.  While structural integrity of the wood panel is eroded by the fire, the burn reveals new textures and material qualities unsuspected otherwise.
