Caught in Tangles

While the main sculptural form is cast in solid bronze, which involves a physically demanding process and material commitment, the colourful yarn enclosing the piece speaks of the intimate nature of the domestic craft of knitting that often is low-stakes and messy. By blending what is perceived as high and low craft, Caught in Tangles refuses to take itself too seriously.
