The idea behind the project was to explore the relationship between colour and form by examining how a colourful interior can be independent from the constraints of the volumetric form. The design process led me to consider how colourful patterns, when applied to a flat surface, could alter one’s perception of space by giving the structure a greater sense of scale, as well as create a sense of dynamism. The final design was a textured multi-surface model that was imprinted on a white cubic box, carving colourful interior space in the areas where both objects collided.
